Solana Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza is one of the largest music festivals in the world, with over 400,000 attendees. For this year’s show, blockchain platform Solana sponsored one of the main stages, and needed help creating some multi-screen content and activations to keep the crowds entertained between shows.

How do you keep 40,000 people occupied while waiting for their favorite band to take the stage? The short answer: trippy graphics! That was the ask from Solana, a blockchain platform that was sponsoring Stage 4 at Lollapalooza.

With client direction in place, we set to building a collection of motion graphics that would be projected onto the massive multi-screen stage.

The result was a fun, brand-centric light show that kept the audience entertained and created buzz around Solana and their NFT offerings.

There was also a much deeper activation called the Solana Compound, where we developed the creative wrapper and language for the activation that included space naming, key messaging development, website and signage copy, and key talking points for brand ambassadors. With Dopamine as the underlying theme, festival goers who stopped by the experience could mint their first free NFT using a new NFT Super-App, Cupcake. We developed the narrative journey, helping to simplify complexities and identify a clear pathway for users to claim their sweet reward.
